VietHoangEditorinChiefMarch2011TocommemorateoursixyearanniversaryIthoughtitwouldbefittingtoreissuefashionphotosfromeachyearofpublication.IntheprocessIlearnedthatitwasnotassimpleataskasIhadenvisioned.Therewereanoverwhelmingnumberofgoodcandidatesfromwhichtoselect.IntheendIsettleduponshowcasingawiderangeofstylesandthemestogiveyouadeeperunderstandingofwhatgoesintoputtingtogether.Eachmonthwecarefullychooseathemethatisreflectedinourselectionoftheappropriatemodelmakeupartisthairstylistfashionstylistandphotographer.AccompanyingthesevenphotographsthatIselectedisadescriptionofwhatwasthesourceoftheinspirationforeach.AdditionallyIwanttorecognizethephotographerofeachshoot.hasestablishedherselfasoneofHoustonspremierphotographersoverthethelast20years.ShebeganhercareerworkingwithmodelingandtalentagenciesandsoonthereaftermovedintothecommercialarenawithsuchcatalogueclientsasFoleysPalaisRoyalJCPennysandLandsEndandworkingwithfamousphotographerssuchasBruceWeber.Shedideditorialspreadswithandourown.DebbieiswellroundedinallaspectsofphotographyshehasdoneeverythingfromfoodshotstocoversofmusicCDsandhasanewfineartventurethatwasrecentlyshownatSaksFifthAvenue.Herlatestinterestismetalphotographywhichwillsoonbefeaturedinmagazine.Debbieishumbleunconventionalneverboredandalwaysgrateful.Andsheisalwayscreating.Infocushasmorethan10yearsexperienceinfashionphotographyandisextremelyskilledinallaspectsofphotography.Hisobsessionwiththemediumbeganattheyoungageof15afterbeinginvoluntarilyenteredintoahighschoolelectivephotographyclass.Hewasrecognizedasanaturalbyhishighschoolteacherandaskedtobecomeamemberoftheyearbookstaff.AfterhighschoolCollinbegananinternshipatSelectStudios.HisskillincapitalizingoneveryaspectofhissubjectsequipmentandsurroundingshasresultedinhimbeingrecognizedasoneofthetopphotographersintheHoustonmetroplex.ThroughouttheyearsCollinhasworkedwithmultiplemodeltalentagenciesmagazinescelebritiescommercialproductcampaignsandweddings.Inadditiontophotographyhehasexpressedhiscreativityinpaintingandsculpture.Morerecentlyhehasbegunanambitiousjourneyintofilmasadirectorofphotography.Collinhasaveryprofessionalattitudemaintainshisfocusandtakesgreatprideinhiswork.AttheageoftwoandherfamilyrelocatedtoHoustonfromVietnam.HerstronginterestintheartsresultedfrombeingexposedtothegreatmuseumsandgalleriesinHouston.Jhanesinterestinphotographypromptedherfathertopurchaseherfirstcameraattheageoftwelve.Thissimpleactbeganherloveaffairwithphotographyandplantedtheseedofhercreativecareer.AftergraduatinghighschoolJhanestudiedattheArtInstituteofHoustonwithaparticularinterestinportraitureandphotojournalism.Shedevelopedagrowingsensethatsheneededthehandsonexperiencethatshecouldonlygetbyworkingforanestablishedphotographer.AsaresultshedecidedtoleaveschoolafewcreditsshortofherdegreetoworkfulltimeasanassistanttoafashionphotographerinHouston.Jhanebecameobsessedwithfashionphotography.ShemovedtoNewYorkCitytopursueherloveofartandfashionwhichcanbeseenintheaestheticofherphotographs.Shehasshotforvariousnationalandinternationalmagazinestopmodelingagenciesandforvariousathletesandcelebrities.YellowMagazineDebbiePorterCollinKelleyJhaneHoang10YellowMagazinePaperCityYellowMagazineHomeGardendebbieporterphotography.comcollinkellyphotography.comjhanehoangphotography.com
